A Message From Marilyn Navarro
Executive Director
The National Law Enforcement
and Firefighters Children's Foundation
My name is Marilyn Navarro and I am the Executive Director of the National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children's Foundation (NLEAFCF). Every day thousands of law enforcement personnel and firefighters put their lives on the line to protect the citizens of their community. Unfortunately some of these "everyday heroes" make the ultimate sacrifice, oftentimes leaving behind families of their own. The mission of the foundation is to give back to the families and children of the heroes that gave so much.
The NLEAFCF has set up Grant & Scholarship programs for children of fallen or disabled law enforcement personnel and firefighter. The foundation also promotes and facilitates educational activities and programs created and operated by law enforcement & firefighting organizations whose purpose is to benefit children or the community at large.
The loss of a parent dramatically impacts a child for a lifetime. As a result, our Foundation is committed to providing long term support for these children and their families. The NLEAFCF is committed to ensuring that these families' needs are met not only during the initial time of crisis but also in the future.
As community members it is our responsibility to support and provide assistance to these children. Please join myself and many others who have a similar vision and support the National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children's Foundation. We need your help. Be a hero to tomorrow's heroes.
- Marilyn Navarro, Executive Director
